Social events - review of 2011

Amongst the events in 2011 we enjoyed several evening meals organised by Eileen and Pat, John’s fish ‘n’ chip night and this year we combined a treasure hunt with a walk organised for us by Tom and Sue.  The dinner dance at The Regency had a different flavour to it as we had a live band (The Hiss & Boo Band) in lieu of a disco which proved a little difficult to dance to but we were entertained whilst we enjoyed our food.

Thanks to Linda who organised another theatre trip, this time for a performance of 42nd Street at the Curve Theatre.  Successful weekends of fine dining and walking were enjoyed at the Long Mynd in Shropshire and Easingwold in Yorkshire.  And finally a ‘Twixmas’ break at Castleton, Derbyshire was a successful end to the year for those members lucky enough to be able to attend.

Weekends away

A return visit to the fantastic Birches Hotel for another North Norfolk Big Skies houseparty weekend. Superlative coastal walking. Sea air and spring tides!  Limited places may be available for an extra night on 26th.
