With regard to ploughing a foot path the farmer has 30 days to mark the route by harrowing a realative level strip. When crops are planted he has to clear a path through although this generally happens by people walking it on popular paths. Another rouse that land owners or private house holders use is if a footpath runs by their garden or whatever, is to drape a single strand of wire or put a sort of look alike fence across it and say nothing. Footpath users tend to disregard it step over or walk round it going off the path to do so. After 12 yrs(I think) he will claim it or stop people using it. Log it, remove it, report it. LCC are very hot on this and rely on reports coming in. Warwickshire are not so good and Mkt Harb council would sooner not know as it makes them unpopular with their electorite.
