Shrewsbury Dec 2019

Twixmas Break 2019- Lord Hill Hotel

Our Twixmas break this year was taken in the lovely town of Shrewsbury.

Local member Kate met us and showed us the sights before we settled in to the Lord Hill hotel. We were made very welcome and looked after by the friendly staff, thus ensuring a

comfortable stay.

On a sad note, the hotel was closing for good immediately after our departure, but we had a very generous collection for them to show our appreciation.

The walking was excellent, helped by dry and fine weather (with the possible exception of the first day when mist encircled The Wrekin!) and we had some beautiful views of the Shropshire countryside.

Once again we were joined by our friends from Footloose, and it is fair to say that we enjoyed each others' company.

Many thanks to Gail for organising the trip, to Mike for organising the walks, to Neil for the quizzes, and to all the walk leaders including Kate.
