Autumn 2023 Walking Holiday at George IV Hotel, Criccieth

Our hotel for 4 nights was in the pretty seaside village of Criccieth with views towards the castle and sea.

​

The forecast for the week was not looking very promising, so we arrived in Criccieth with all our wet weather gear packed, ready to tackle anything that was coming our way. How wrong they were. We arrived in glorious sunshine and that continued until our last day, save a few showers on Thursday morning.

 

There was a good mixture of both coastal walks and walks in the beautiful Welsh hills. The coastal walks were glorious in the Autumn sunshine and in some cases quite challenging. The views towards Snowdonia and surrounding mountains were stunning. After a good day’s walking we were able to relax in the hotel bar, followed by a nice meal and live entertainment for those who still had the energy to boogie.
