Twixmas Walking Holiday 2023 - Woburn

Our Twixmas walking holiday this year was at the lovely Georgian town of Woburn, staying at The Bell Hotel in the centre of Woburn.

​

22 members joined us for this break which was on a bed and breakfast basis. This allowed us the freedom to eat out at a selection of hostelries in the town ranging from Thai, Italian and Gastro pubs, as well as an evening meal on the first night at the hotel.

Both walks on Thursday went through the 3000 acre Woburn estate deer park where we were able to view a variety of deer herds, as well as some of the safari park animals such as bison, bears, elephants and camels.

Unfortunately, due to heavy rain overnight, the next day we encountered quite a lot of mud on our walks (just like we do in Leicestershire).

The final walk on Saturday was from Woburn Sands, through picturesque woods.
